I tried to run the other day and it’s just so dang boring. I can’t seem to do it. I used to run in my early 20’s and for some reason it was more enjoyable back then. Maybe it’s because I was in better shape and could run longer (and, thus, could achieve that “runner’s high”). But these days, not only do my knees ache but I can’t seem to run more than 2 miles.
Basketball is my sport of choice but there is a high risk of injury…at least for me. I’ve had a compound fracture on my ankle, fractured my 4th metacarpal, tore ligaments in my shoulder…and countless other nagging injuries. Tonight I got poked in the eye. I lost my contact lens (my right eye) but luckily not my vision.
I think I need to find another sport to participate in. Any suggestions? Running is a no-go and basketball is too dangerous.

I had a nice Father’s Day brunch at this cool resort-ish type place. The food was excellent and the scenery breathtaking. I probably ate more than I should have…though you’d be proud that I ate less than I could have. Here are a few pictures from my first ever Father’s Day as a papa. Thanks Mrs. Happy and Baby Happy for taking me out. Mr. Happy here definitely enjoyed the day.
Looking at my picture, I look a lot skinnier than I did about 2 months ago. I guess 16 pounds (the amount I lost from the Nutrisystem diet) will do that to you. Off topic, but I saw a handful of people that were in really good shape. Motivated me to get up and exercise. I’ll be entering phase II of my diet and fitness plan. The weight loss part is almost over…now comes the fitness part where hopefully I’ll get into decent (hopefully great!) shape.
Anyway, here are the pictures. It’s definitely not something on the Nutrisystem food list. =)

I’ve been on a diet throughout most of my life. I’m committed to be on my last extreme diet and from now on, hopefully, I’ll follow this change of lifestyle where I can maintain my current weight (well, less 6-7 pounds since I’m still short of my goal). Currently, I’ve lost 16 pounds while on the Nutrisystem diet.
In the past (not using Nutrisystem) I’ve lost anywhere from three pounds all the way up to 20 or so pounds (think no carb).
So it made me wonder…what’s the most weight you’ve ever lost in your life?

Have any of you heard about this new fad diet going around called the Cookie Diet? I’ve been hearing about it on the news, radio, Internet…pretty much everywhere I go I hear Cookie Diet. Apparently, there’s some ingredient in the cookie that makes it healthier for you to eat. It probably doesn’t taste as good as Mrs. Fields or your home baked cookies but it’s supposed to supplement your weight loss program.

Hmm, now that I’m done with my Nutrisystem diet (and lost about 16 pounds) is it time to move on to the Cookie Diet? Hahah, I think I’ll pass for now but I thought it was pretty interesting. Maybe I’ll place an order in the future…like around the holidays or something. That way if I get tempted to snack on something not so good for me, I’ll reach over for a cookie from The Cookie Diet. =)

Hello everyone. Sorry, it’s been a while since I last posted. I’ve been busy trying to juggle a business or two, handling a new baby boy, and exercising somewhere in between. I’m still floating around the same weight as I was at the end of May. My goal is to be at 165 lbs so I have about 6-7 more pounds to go. I’ll probably start P90x (it’s this exercise program that I have sitting in my closet) and we’ll see what the results will be.
Thanks to all the folks that have been coming to visit. I promise to post more frequently from now on.
Happy Dieting to all of you…
