“Charlie Bite” Dental Device Helps You Lose Weight
Tuesday, April 10th, 2007
A new dental device is making big news claiming that it could help people lose weight. Naturally, when I heard about this I was all ears. This device is called the Charlie Bite, named after its inventor Charlie Comstock. He thinks that chewing slower while you eat will lead to quicker, more efficient weight loss. So he came up with a device that forces people to cut their food, take smaller bites, and chew the food more thoroughly.
Hmm…sounds a bit complicated to me but I dug deeper just to see what something like this would cost.
Wowsers!! Prices range from $1500 to $3000. I can buy a Plasma TV for that much money! But I guess if it works for people, then more power to ‘em. Patients say they lose about 1.5 pounds per week. It still sounds like a pretty big investment to me and is way outside my price range…just my opinion. What do you guys think?
