Cookie Diet?

Friday, June 15th, 2007

Have any of you heard about this new fad diet going around called the Cookie Diet? I’ve been hearing about it on the news, radio, Internet…pretty much everywhere I go I hear Cookie Diet. Apparently, there’s some ingredient in the cookie that makes it healthier for you to eat. It probably doesn’t taste as good as Mrs. Fields or your home baked cookies but it’s supposed to supplement your weight loss program.

Hmm, now that I’m done with my Nutrisystem diet (and lost about 16 pounds) is it time to move on to the Cookie Diet? Hahah, I think I’ll pass for now but I thought it was pretty interesting. Maybe I’ll place an order in the future…like around the holidays or something. That way if I get tempted to snack on something not so good for me, I’ll reach over for a cookie from The Cookie Diet. =)

I’m Back…

Thursday, June 14th, 2007

Hello everyone. Sorry, it’s been a while since I last posted. I’ve been busy trying to juggle a business or two, handling a new baby boy, and exercising somewhere in between. I’m still floating around the same weight as I was at the end of May. My goal is to be at 165 lbs so I have about 6-7 more pounds to go. I’ll probably start P90x (it’s this exercise program that I have sitting in my closet) and we’ll see what the results will be.

Thanks to all the folks that have been coming to visit. I promise to post more frequently from now on.

Happy Dieting to all of you…

Weekly Weight Update: 170.8 lbs

Thursday, May 31st, 2007

Only lost one pound since last week but have lost 16 pounds overall.

Start: 185.2 lbs
End of week 1: 175.4 lbs
End of week 2: 172.6 lbs
End of week 3: 171.8 lbs
End of week 4: 170.8 lbs

I have one week worth of food left and then I have to think if I want to reorder or not. If not, I’m going to start my exercise regimen. Now, that I’m trimmer I hope I can get more fit and ripped. We’ll see how that works.

Weekly Weight Update: 171.8 lbs

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

Lost about 2 pounds this past week and my total weight loss from the Nutrisystem diet is about 14 pounds. Only 6-8 more pounds to go and I’ll be pretty happy. It’s officially my fourth week on the Nutrisystem diet but sometimes I eat fruits and salads (and other healthy alternatives) instead of eating my Nutrisystem meals so I still have a few weeks worth of food to go. Plus, they gave me one week free for ordering a 4 week supply so hopefully I can reach my goal of 165 lbs before all is said and done.

It’s Memorial Day this weekend. You know what that means! BBQ heaven!

Popcorn Anyone

Monday, May 21st, 2007

Watched a movie the other day. First time since we had a baby a few months back. No, I’m not one of those who take their babies to the movies. Grandma was over to watch the little guy. Anyway, I’ve been pretty good the past week on my Nutrisytem diet so I decided to reward myself. Got a small popcorn (no butter, no salt) and a small caffeine-free diet coke.

I was so happy I decided to celebrate with the Simpsons.

Meeting the Bully - Part II

Sunday, May 20th, 2007

Remember my post Bullies Never Learn? It was about these two guys who rudely took over the basketball court as I was shooting around…not even asking if they can play one-on-one. Sort of just kicked me out of the court. Well, I saw one of those guys again tonight and I was pumped up to kick his arse on the court. I stretched extra long to make sure I wouldn’t get hurt and my blood was pumping a million miles a minute. I wanted to beat this guy so bad.

yao.jpgWe played two-on-two and as luck would have it we were on opposing teams. He was covering me too so I had to make sure that I went Kobe Bryant on him. The game started off well. I hit a jump shot…and then proceeded to blow by him three times to lay it up and in. On defense, I went Yao Ming on him and swatted the ball as he tried to score on me. Roar!! Now, I’m only 5 ft 8 inches tall, so it’s quite a feat for me to block a shot. But yep, I swatted that thing to freakin’ China. I think he got so frustrated that he stopped covering me and asked his teammate to switch and guard me instead.

Unfortunately, that’s when it started to go downhill. I couldn’t score on the other dude and he kept hitting 3 pointers. We ended up losing the first game by two points and the second game by five points. I’ll get him next time.

Super Sized Showers

Friday, May 18th, 2007

big-shower.jpgHmm…if I was still a bachelor, I might have a few wild nights in the shower with a hot chick…maybe two hot chicks if I was lucky. But dude, how many girls could a guy fit in this super sized shower? A bit overkill don’t you think?

I guess it’s a good thing that 1) I’m happily married and I wouldn’t need a shower that fits 10 girls at the same time, 2) Not sure when (if ever) I’ll be able to afford a shower this size.

Pretty pimp pad though…Frankophilia, I think you need to rendezvous with one or more of your gals here.

Nutrisystem Success Stories

Thursday, May 17th, 2007

I’ll be posting success stories of other Nutrisystem clients. I figure it’ll keep me motivated while relaying other people’s experience to you guys. I’m sure that not everyone who joins Nutrisystem ends up losing a whole ton of weight. I guess that’s why they always put the disclaimer “Results vary” or something like that…because, well, results will vary. Dan Marino, for instance, lost 22 lbs or so…this other woman lost over 50 pounds. I’m currently sitting at about 12-13 lbs lost but I still have a few weeks left. And if I stayed on this diet for several months, I’m sure I could lose even more.

Anyways, I’ll post about other people’s stories and hopefully it’ll inspire you to start a diet and begin your road to weight loss.

My Weekend Worth of Cheating

Wednesday, May 16th, 2007

So there was a lot to celebrate this weekend with Mother’s Day and other festivities. Here is my weekend’s worth of cheating. I’m trying to convince myself that I ate relatively healthy still. Small portions, didn’t eat rice (maybe a little at the Mexican restaurant), and avoided fatty foods. I did drink a few Margaritas though. Hmm…and those malasadas probably weren’t very healthy either.

Well, anyway I’m fessing up to you all.

Nutrisystem Break

Tuesday, May 15th, 2007

I’ve been on a weekend long break from Nutrisystem (lots of festivities going on that I couldn’t skip) and it carried over through today. I’m still eating healthy but just skipped the Nutrisystem meal for lunch. I’m sitting at 172.6 lbs still which is what I weighed this time last week. I guess it’s good that I haven’t gained weight but not so good because I haven’t lost any either.

Here’s my lunch. I split with my wife so I’m still on portion control. The sushi is called “The Green Monster”. Reminds me of when I was at Fenway Park a few years back (just the name, not the actual sushi).
